Henchcliffe Brothers Defend Title

The Great Race was started in 1977 by the Lake Hills Board. The last time that The Great Race happened was back in 2007. The last individuals to win the trophy were Dave and Jeff Henchcliffe.

Since then, stories of The Great Race swirled around, and new members became inspired by this LHA tradition. On July 26th, 2020, The Great Race was relaunched during Family Fun Day. And back to defend their title were the Henchcliffe brothers.

It had been 13 years since they had raced, and there were formidable opponents. But you can't keep two good lakers down. And Samp Mortar Lake does indeed run through their veins.

When it was all said and done, Dave and Jeff Henchcliffe proved victorious once again. Reigniting an amazing Lake Hills tradition while defending their title as Lake Hills Great Race 2020 Champions!
